iOS 5 Jailbreak [Soon Here]

Recent few weeks we started to hear rumors around the features on the upcoming iOS 5.0 firmware from Apple.
Some users expect that iOS 5 will be a revolutionary firmware, iOS 5 will be available for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G, 3G, iPad 1, 2. But what about iOS 5 jailbreak capability ?

Before we talking about iOS 5 jailbreak, you may ask yourself a question, why I will update my device to iOS 5 ? or precisely what's new on iOS 5?

Last two weeks I talked with you about some new amazing features on iOS 5, for example :

New concept for Notification System:

It's really very simple and highly functional. The idea to put all notifications into an app

Over-the-Air firmware update:

Over-the-Air feature will allow you to make your firmware updates directly form your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad without the need to connect your device with iTunes via USB

Such features, let you imagine how iOS 5 will be completely different from its predecessor firmwares. Definitely we will see more leaked features on iOS 5 and some others will remain with Steve Jobs to surprise us in the next Apple's event.

What about Jailbreak iOS 5:

For iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G, 3G and iPad 1 :

These devices is already exploitable with Limera1n bootrom exploit (hardware exploit), this exploit has been discovered in October 2010 by Geohot and it successfully jailbroke all above mentioned devices running firmwares starting from iOS 4.1 up to current iOS 4.3.3, as such exploits can't be patched without hardware upgrade. So that we can expect that hackers will need some time to develop their jailbreak tools to make the compatibility with devices running iOS 5.

For iPad 2:

So far hackers (Geohot - P0sixninja - Comex) are working hard to jailbreak iPad 2 on the current iOS 4.3.3 but no one succeeded on iPad 2 jailbreak running any iOS version so far, consequently, iOS 5 will be more complicated. So that we can expect nothing regarding iPad 2 jailbreak.

iOS 5 release date:

Most likely, we will get our first glimpse of iOS 5 at Apple’s annual World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC 2011) in early June. Usually, such major firmwares to be released within 10 days after the conference, so we can get it between 15th - 20th June.

1 comment :

  1. Jailbreak does not mean only to provide a non-signed applications can be done by the device, has become a cult. We still have to wait for the final version of IOS 5 is released, but taking into view the beta version, combined with the IOS features that no other mobile operating system can be proud of, so one of the 5 best releases IOS that Apple will come out.
