This morning we have informed you that the iPhone Dev Team will be releasing an updated version of Ultrasn0w 1.3 which will be capable of unlocking iPhone 4 with baseband 02.10 & 03.10 (iOS 4.1 & iOS 4.2.1).
As we have mentioned our previous post, there is a possibility of Ultrasn0w 1.2 supporting iPhone 4 baseband 04.10.1 (iOS 4.3b3) also.
This is now confirmed by @MuscleNerd, the core member of the iPhone Dev Team. It seems like there are vulnerable commands in baseband 04.10.01 (iOS 4.3b3) and they are working on invoking them. That means, iPhone 4 with baseband 04.10.01 is possible. But, its not confirmed.
@MuscleNerd – Current i4 unlock goal includes til 04.10.01 (4.3b3). Very weird situation…vuln cmds are there, trying to invoke them)Now, it will be interesting to see if the final version of iOS 4.3 carries the baseband as iOS 4.3b3 or not. Anyway, I strongly recommend you to stay away from iOS 4.3, if you relay on unlock. We will keep you posted on how to update your iPhone to iOS 4.3 while preserving your baseband.
So, currently we can confirm that Ultrasn0w 1.3 will support iPhone 4 with baseband 02.10 & 03.10 (iOS 4.1 & iOS 4.2.1) and possiblely 04.10.01 (Which is yet to confirm). The iPhone Dev Team is planning to release Ultrasn0w 1.3 in a week or two after the release of the Final version of iOS 4.3 (Release on March 2nd, 2011). So stay tuned..
For iPhone 3G & iPhone 3GS users, there is no unlock news for you. For now, all you can do is, update your baseband to iPad baseband 06.15 and use the current version of Ultrasn0w to unlock. Rumor has that, the iPhone Dev Team is working on a tool, with which you can downgrade your baseband. But there is no ETA on it.

Hallo.
ReplyDeleteI still unable to work carrier on iPhone 4, iOS 4.3.2, firmware 04.10.01 with Ultrasn0w newest release (I already update everytime).
there is no unlock from dev-team at this moment for 04.10.01
ReplyDeleteis there an unlock for bb04.10.01 yet
ReplyDeleteno unlock 04.10.01 yet.
ReplyDeleteis it likely to be this month the 04.10.01 unlock arrives? According to my research the dev team have already created it so why are they reluctant to release it?
ReplyDeleteThey may not release it in fear the exploit could be patched and so they figure all their effort is worth saving by waiting till iOS 5 is released which will have the same exploit which can be used.
ReplyDeletethis is becoming a real pain, bb 04.10.01
ReplyDeleteyes it is. . . 04.10.01
ReplyDeleteAny updates on this issue?
ReplyDeleteupdates greatly appreciated..
ReplyDeleteQUICK QUESTION: I'm aware of the ultrasn0w 1.2.3 does not support iPhone 4 iOS:4.3.3 with baseband 04.10.01 However, before I knew that, I uninstalled furiousMod and when I try to reinstall it I get the following errors:

====================================
Well, I deleted "furiousMod.com" and restarted the phone... I hope this will remove it completely; however, I saw no "uninstall" steps going through the screen. Does this mean the installation and its problems are still in the phone?
ANY IDEAS?!?!???
OK... To all those iPhone 4 owners with 4.3.3 and a baseband of 04.10.01. Since Ultrasn0w 1.2.3 cannot solve it, and Ultrasn0w 1.3 does not come out, CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN TO ME THE FOLLOWING:
ReplyDelete1. Wipe off Ultrasn0w by running
"Phone3,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore"
2. Run "redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc15"
3. Get Cydia
4. Install furiousMod.com
5. Plug the GEVEY Ultra SIM
There must be something wrong in my reasoning, but if it's not faulty I just CANNOT UNDERSTAND why people don't bypass Ultrasn0w like that!
I'm very curious about that; can somebody shed some light on that issue?
Thanks
ANAPXIA
ANAPXIA, well if you're stupid and don't understand the difference between hardware and software unlock so I'll explin it to you:
ReplyDelete- software unlock means that you use only software without any additional tools
- hardware unlock means that you use some additonal devices (such as GIVEY sim) to unlock you phone. And it will cost you additional 50$
chilax.
ReplyDeleteANONYMOUS...
ReplyDeleteI presume your intellect has reached such stratospheric heights that it cannot be associated with mere mortal names right? Thus you remain "anonymous..." Having been a JCL programmer on an IBM 3270 mainframe, I do have a nebulous understanding of hardware vs. software. Now let me clarify something to you genious, as it seems that you are being handicapped by some literally issues! So I shall repeat my question for the CALP-challenged intellectual giants such as yourself!
1. Ultrasn0w SOFTWARE is installed!
2. Ultrasn0w "NOGO" with baseband "04.10.01"
3. Run "Phone3,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore" to restore
phone (MY QUESTION WAS: is this like
reinstalling windows? - i.e. I presume it
will wipeout Cydia)
4. Run "redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc16" (which will
install Cydia)
5. Run FuriousMod
6. Insert Gevey Ultra (Bloggers please pay
attention! This is where the Ubermensch
"Anonymous" kindly clarifies the difference
between hardware and software - somebody give
a Darwin award to this obnoxious dullard!
For the rest of you out there (excluding that anonymous child let behind (in terms of English literacy) I would greatly appreciate it if one of you states whether these steps are correct; especially run through a PC (Windows XP-Pro) My experience with Apple products commenced when I bought the phone... So I apologize if I seem to ask simplistic questions!
Thank you,
To All the "anonymous" : i give you, sirs, a "software" punch in your pretencious noses, including myself, ofcourse lolol
ReplyDeletecan i change baseband 4.10 to the older one
ReplyDeleteGevey sim fucking when i am change sim card its show sim card are invalid
ReplyDeletethank you
ReplyDeleteI have Modem Firmware 04.10.01 for the iPhone4
ReplyDeleteI use the GEVEY Chip and it works. But not all do.
I used the "trial & error method" with the Gevey chips. Third one was the charm.
Restarted phone, pushed chips in, waited for "Accept" and pressed it, waited for 1 signal bar, called 112,o waited for 3 seconds of a successful call and hung up, opened "Settings", turned on "Airplane Mode" for 2 second and then turned it off, got "Invalid Sim" but left it alone, got "No Sim Card Installed" and then turned on airplane mode again, waited 60 seconds, turned off "Airplane Mode", got "T-Mobile" signal.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI have a 32 gig iPhone 4 iOS: 4.3.3 with baseband 04.10.01. The phone is messed up, so I tried to run "iPhone3,1_4.3.3_8J2_Restore.ipsw" and I get the following iTunes error message:
=====================================================================
"The iPhone 'Administrator's iPhone' could not be restored . An unknown error occurred (3194)"
=====================================================================
If I attempt to run it disconnected from the web, I'll be notified that I cannot proceed, because iTunes cannot connect...
Any fixes about that?!?!??? Any way of bypassing that?
Any help, I'll appreciate it greatly!
Thanks!
